Recreation Attendant

Responsible for leading, directing and controlling children while at Kids Camp.

Responsabilities

• Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for the children involved in Kids Camp
• Responsible for carrying out the proper sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Responsible for helping the children carry out the day's activities and crafts. Before the day begins, you will need to understand your role in the day's activities.
• Energetically involved in the camp's activities.
• Maintain a neat, clean professional appearance.
• Enthusiastically greet and converse with guests
• Maintain clear communication with essential departments
• Actively participate in the assurance of the safety and fun of all programs
• Assist with general Resort duties as assigned
• Treat everyone, managers, associates and guests with courtesy and respect at all times
• Assist with routine cleaning of all recreation areas and equipment (sweeping, mopping, picking up, organizing and keeping track of inventory)
• Cross utilize in all areas of recreation when scheduled to do so
• Complete daily checklists in their entirety
• Properly complete recreation agreements as needed using a hose, rinse off the deck space daily
• Monitor the cleanliness of the deck space
• Organize chairs in an orderly fashion
• Maintain the lounge chairs with weekly cleaning
• Maintain the equipment used to clean the deck
• Respectfully assist guests
• Collect deck litter and remove full trash bins
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Attend all required safety training

Qualifications

• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work with guests of all ages
• Previous child care experience preferred
• CPR/First Aid/AED holder preferred, or ability to obtain certification
• Must have flexible schedule, work weekends and holidays
• Trust Line certification preferred
• Prior experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions and around pool
• Stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. (Required for client site tours, event days, etc.)
• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance.
