JOB DESCRIPTION :
SAIC is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a position located in San Diego, CA . The candidate will be required to have a high level experience in JavaScript, React, Linux (RHEL), and has a strong background in Web Experience. This role requires you to have an ACTIVE SECRET clearance to start.
This will be an ON-SITE role with expected travel up to 10% throughout the year.
JOB DUTIES :
The candidate shall perform software engineering design and development activities to produce reliable, modular, and secure software components.
The work will include development of software on a RHEL OS platform.
This will include software development with custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware.
Development will consist of application writing and policy for security accreditations.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE :
Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7). Additional years' experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret after start.
Linux (RHEL) familiarity.
Front-end technology experience: JavaScript, React, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS.
Strong Web experience .
Industry experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale systems in production.
Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.
Familiarity with DBMS technology, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL.
Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
Excellent understanding of low-level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance, and scale.
Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE :
Experience with C++.
Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
